Climbing gym faq

When Will You Open?

June 1st, 2020. We will operate as a member’s only facility and follow Covid-19 protocols set forth by Larimer County.

Phase I & Phase II Design & Build Out

Due to the uncertainty of the current pandemic we have halted out gym build out plans. We are starting with a smaller training facility but we plan to take over the entire raquet ball building and built out our full Bouldering Gym & Training Facility. After we knock down the center wall, the total climbing gym space will total in 1,560 SF with 20’ ceilings. The gym design has been completed by Futurist Climbing, and we hope to start this build out in the next 1-2 years.

General Rules

- Climbers must be at least 14 years old.

- No more than 3 people on the climbing wall at one time.

- Anyone may use the lockers and cubbies around the gym. Please don't leave items in them overnight.

- You must wear closed-toed shoes. Climbing barefoot, with flip-flops, or in only-socks is not allowed.

- You can rent shoes for the day if you don't have your own. We highly recommend using climbing shoes so that you can stick to the wall better than normal sneakers.

- No flipping. No wrestling or roughhousing. No running. No jumping off of structures (top-out boulder, loft, ceiling, etc.) on to the boulder mats.

- Do not sneak friends or family into the facility with your membership. If caught, your membership will be charged with extra day pass fees, voided, and you will be escorted out of the facility with no refund.

- Dogs are not allowed in the gym.

Safety

- It is extremely important that no one runs anywhere in the gym (on the mats as well as the hard floor). We know how fast you are and we want climbers to be able to see you!

- For your safety, it is important not to stand or climb underneath someone that is already climbing on the walls. Keep your eyes open above you!- If you choose to follow a route, make sure that it will not cross anyone else's path.

- When you get to the top of a boulder problem, DO NOT top out above the wall or climb over to the other side. Just drop back down to the mats on the ground.- No more than 3 people on the climbing wall at any time.

- 1 person at a time on the campus board.

Day Passes & Punch Cards

How do Punch Cards work? What level of access do they grant?

Punch Cards are just another way to pay for a Day Pass, and so the same rules apply to them that apply for Day Pass customers. Punch Card holders aren't Members. A single Day Pass is good for a single person.

What time do we stop selling Day Passes?

We sell day passes 24/7. Guests will only have access to the gym between the hours of 9am and 6pm. If, you are the guest of a member, you may buy a day pass and accompany them into the gym during member hours.

Is a Day Pass good for a whole day?

Yes, they are good for the normal hours of operation 9am - 6pm. With the purchase of a Day Pass, you may leave and come back the same day without having to pay twice. (Likewise with shoe rentals, you only need to pay for them once per day. If you leave and come back, you do not need to pay again.)

Can I get a refund?

Day passes & punch cards are non-refundable.

Membership

Can I cancel or get a refund?T

here are no refunds for memberships. You may cancel a Monthly Auto-Renewal Membership before the next billing period, without any fee. IF, there is a serious life-event that requires a cancellation or refund, we will work with you.

Does someone who is not climbing have to pay to be in the gym?

Public Hours (9am - 6pm) - People can hangout and wait for friends without paying. Member Hours (24/7) - If you are in the gym, outside of the hours of 9am to 6pm, you MUST be a Member.

How far in advance does someone need to cancel their membership to avoid getting billed for the upcoming month (or to guarantee that we will refund the following month's charge)?

Five days prior to the expiration date of their current membership.

Kids

How old do you have to be to climb?

You must be at least 14 years old to climb, or even be on the climbing mat. IF, you are a parent you may have your children under 14 with you in the gym. However, they are not allowed to climb. This is more of a training space and not a full climbing gym.

How old do you have to be to be a member?

14 years old. A Parent must sign a Liability Waiver and Member Agreement for those under 18. If a minor wants to climb during Member Hours, they must be accompanied by a Parent.

Who can sign a waiver for a minor?

Everyone must have a valid Waiver to be in the gym. Only a Parent or Legal guardian can sign a waiver on behalf of a minor. No aunts, uncles, brothers, friends, etc.

Who should accompany and supervise minors?

Parents or guardians should accompany a minor. There is a small balcony area above the training space. You may supervise your children from up there.

Who is a Legal Guardian?

A Legal Guardian is legally equal to a parent. They are legally appointed to care for a child, i.e. adoptive parents, etc. Brothers, extended family, etc. are NOT Legal Guardians. Legal Guardians may do anything parents may do (sign waivers, etc.).

Functional Fitness Room

You may use the functional fitness room and all the equipment in the building. However, Estes Iron and their instructors, have PRIORITY in the Functional Fitness Room for all of their classes and training sessions.
